Happy Canada Day 2025!

Happy Canada Day 2025!

Canada Day, celebrated annually on July 1st, commemorates the anniversary of the Confederation of Canada in 1867. This year I watched fireworks at Canada's Wonderland ( it was the first major theme park in Canada and remains the country's largest ). 🎢

I started this summer with something meaningful... The 19th annual Spring Into Action 2K/5K Walk or Run at Sunnybrook Park in Toronto. The event is a community celebration promoting awareness and support for youth mental health. One of my friends invited me to this charity event where funds raised will support Stella's Place, a GTA-based organization dedicated to youth mental health.

Ontario offers a wide range of summer trip options, from bustling cities like Toronto and Ottawa to natural escapes like Algonquin Park and the Bruce Peninsula. You can choose from lakeside getaways, national park adventures, or charming small towns.

I recently joined a couple of groups for hikes in Ontario to meet new friends, I have explored the town of Elora and hiked to the Elora Gorge, The Meadoway trail and trails at Sunnybrook Park & Edwards Gardens... my next adventure is to continue exploring more walking trails in the city and provincial parks.
